Today, Chinese New Year is celebrated not only by Filipino-Chinese communities but also by Filipinos of all backgrounds. It's a time for family reunions, parades, fireworks, and of course, food. Many Filipinos enjoy traditional Chinese dishes like tikoy, dumplings, and noodles during this time. The celebration also symbolizes renewal and good fortune, which resonates with Filipinos' values of hope and resilience. As the country faces its own set of challenges, the festive atmosphere of Chinese New Year serves as a welcome respite.
